Concentration

What is being concentrated at us?

Huge, emotionally effective advertising campaigns.

Life-style models, not life-models.

Consumer advocacy, not citizen advocacy.

Exploitative and violent movie themes, not character building morality themes.

It is a wonder that we haven’t all been wiped off the face of the earth.

Certainly our communities have broken down.

Certainly cynicism, rather than optimism predominates.

And yet, beyond physical needs, there is moral and spiritual law.

Laws of kindness.

Laws of compassion.

Laws of generosity.

Laws of willingness.

Laws of imagination.

Laws of tenderness.

We see responses to these laws all the time.

Because of our increased world communication, we see the same responses to crisis from every part of the world.

Obviously, these laws do not require legislation in order to be in effect.

And so, since they do not, what are the consequences of participating in these universal laws?
