When I learned about Dallas’ bid to host the Parliament of World Religions in 2014, (Brussels, Belgium won the bid), I learned that there are over 300,000 churches and non-profit organizations in the Metroplex. Getting to know many of these and how they contribute to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex is an amazing opportunity. I believe that what happens at the grassroots level sets the atmosphere for the city. We can accomplish so much with our shared vision.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo
I went to a wonderful concert.
The richness of nine male voices in harmony and rhythm filled the hall.
Movement and dance began to punctuate more songs as the night progressed.
A short description of each song gave the audience an idea of the meaning, but the effect of communication was through sound, movement, humor, body language.
Opening the concert, the leader stated that he had established this singing group to spread the culture of South Africa.
The culture he has been sharing, he described as love and harmony.
Fifty-two years of love and harmony from South Africa, through concerts all over the world.
I still feel the feeling two days later.
A powerful vision.
