Fiber Daze

I attended a fiber festival out-of-town last month.

I wanted to meet folks in that part of the country.

What I found is that people in the fiber field are the same everywhere.

There are beginners and experienced people.

They are teachers and givers.

People sign up for classes and receive new knowledge.

Vendors support the industry by raising sheep, alpaca and rabbits.

There is wool in various stages of becoming yarn.

There are suppliers of spinning wheels, carding and weaving supplies.

Everyone is coming together to support a common cause.

Within this support, there is camaraderie, joy, delight and upliftment.

New friendships are made and old ones renewed.

The skill level is raised through teaching.

How wonderful to experience such a wide partnership.
